Portland Bill

Time to go home. Left our cute Dorset cottage at 11am and started the journey back to Edinburgh.

Visited Portland Bill en route - sooooo windy, didn’t linger. Then 4 hours to S’s house in Uckfield, cup of tea then left at 6pm for Gatwick.

Dropped off hire car and saw that our 10pm flight had a 90 min delay (plane stuck in Bilbao apparently). Got a drink, lingered around the airport then noticed at just before 9pm the the flight was back on time! Very quick noodle dinner at Wagamama, on plane by 9:30pm, took off on time and even landed 15 mins early! Well done BA - they’d found a new plane & crew and got us all to EDI on time.

A lovely week in Dorset but sooooo nice to be home.
