2019 Friday — Commencement
This evening was commencement, so flat hats, Hawaiian leis, and confetti were in abundance, and tears were seen and cheers were heard. Years ago I missed the opportunity to graduate from high school, so I’ve never regretted the annual commencement ceremony as a professor. It is a high point of every academic year.
Another chapter of my life is concluding; I’m exhausted and emotional.
I still need to submit semester grades for each of my students and finish an assessment report on English 50 Basic Composition, and then I will officially mark the 2018/2019 school year finished.
