Jazz On A Summer’s Day
A “summer’s day” might be exaggerating the pleasantness of the weather, but it was better than the weather forecasters predicted.
( a tennis commentator said yesterday that being a weatherman must be the easiest job in the world, as even if they only get it right 20% of the time, they get to keep their position)
Down to Aden Park this afternoon to see this band. There were about 25 of them all together and most enjoyable. A mixture of some “avant-garde” stuff and more traditional “lounge” jazz such as “Fever” and “ Watermelon Man”.
The performers were a fine mix of gender and age.
Note the clever use of clothes-pegs.
