We started the day by chilling over breakfast having the chat. We then watched one of her fave films which is Huckleberry Finn lounging around in our peejays.

At 11.20am we headed down to the NCT but to my delight the Almera had a ‘good’ fail - that is it only needs a back light bulb replaced (which is a miracle ‘cos there is a whirring noise coming from somewhere which I have studiously ignored for 2 months now). I was delighted.

A picnic in Bray; but weather cold and heavy showers so not ideal. I had a dip in The Cove see extra but storm clouds were moving in and granddaughter said no.

We headed to The Harbour Bar for some shelter where The Asian Festival was on and delicious smells of food were wafting everywhere. We watched a demonstration of how a japanese kimono is worn and what colours and styles are appropriate for single woman, married woman etc. Excellent.

She has returned to Galway. Safe trip, little one (although she is only 10 and now same height as I am). eeeek
