Bee Orchid

After extremely heavy rain & a very wet morning we headed to Tramore Beach & Sheskinmore. ChrisA joined us for the walk as well & we were lucky with the weather.
We decided more in hope than expectation to check the area for bee orchids & bingo some of them were already in bloom.
We all had a great time looking at various orchids & various insects. Take a look at ChrisA's blip for some better photos. I had the long lens so it wasn't ideal for bee orchids.
Just had to add an extra from early this morning. When this red squirrel left the feeder, I saw where he went & within minutes I noticed 2 chasing each other in a tree closer to me, so I think there might have been 3 in thevicinity this morning, fingers crossed.
