Peony
Another busy day out today, this time visiting 12 gardens in a neighbouring village and we had a ride on the local miniature steam train when it poured with rain while we were queuing and while on the ride. We had brilliant sunshine while eating our lunch at the mill and returned there for a hot drink after our soaking. I walked back home along the river over many large puddles. It’s lovely to see these gardens which are all large and most had very steep gardens with many steps. Peonies were prolific as were roses, lupins, strawberry trees, and some unusual trees.
