Point and Shoot

Extradition

After a delightful afternoon tea with great-nephew and great-niece, home to see news of Hong Kong protests.  I watched a live stream for hours, compelled by hope that with eyes on events, there would be no visible mismanagement.  Although the camera mainly stayed on the protesters, I looked for pictures that showed police armed with riot shields.  I'm not sure why they had shields as the crowd was very polite with lots of "please" and "thankyou" audible.

The most shouting  I heard was from police was when some men stood up and faced the wall, perhaps having a pee while they calmly waited to be searched and arrested for sitting on the street.  The shouting was soon over, as the police far outnumbered the demonstrators after a long day.  By dawn, the street was cleared.
