The first of the new gull chicks have arrived...
I visited Dunbar harbour this morning only to find that the first of the new gull chicks have arrived. There is only one family so far although there are literally hundreds nesting. This is a brood of three chicks which you can just about see if you look at the top lefthand corner image ( look for the three heads ). I find the chicks are notoriously difficult to focus on as their fluffy feathers confuse the autofocus but I am reasonably happy with these shots. I am not sure whether the gulls always return to the same spot to nest but if so this is the biggest brood they have had, as normally it is just one or two chicks.
