Down on his luck

Aubrey was down on his luck after getting fired from his job making cartons for the packaging department over at the egg plant. He'd left his native India years before after seeing so many of his friends and family get themselves in a pickle. Things had gone well for a while but now with no car and no money he had to try and hitch a ride, and he knew where to go. Whenever he found himself in a dip, he could always rely on his friend, the youngest of the Ganoush brothers to help him out. Yes, he was sure Baba would make everything OK.
