Up at the O2
Caught the bus over to North Greenwich this afternoon and caught up with my friend Sally (and her partner and their daughter) and all the Dreamflight crew, to walk over the roof of the O2 in aid of their charity. We were pretty lucky with the weather - no rain - and got some great views from up there. I was mostly too busy gabbing away to Sally to take many photos, and we were only allowed mobile phones, rather than 'proper' cameras, but I did snap a few shots.
It was a fairly steep ascent and descent at the start and end, but not really too challenging, nor scary. We had to wear harnesses and were clipped on at all times - apart from the viewing platform at the top - all a bit over the top, but probably helped the more nervous ones feel a little safer.
Went for a quick drink with Sally, Rob and Sofia afterwards - so nice to catch up with them - then headed back home on the bus. Had a nice evening with Tim. He stayed up late to watch the Grand Prix, so I headed to bed before him.
(Very chuffed to have raised over £300 for Dreamflight - especially as I only signed up a few days ago.) :)
