Pope's Creek

This is the pier at Captain Billy's Crabhouse. We had an impending thunderstorm which never actually materialized, but the clouds were much better than I could figure out how to photograph. I do have a polarizing filter  that I didn't use. I wonder if that would have helped or if there are camera settings that I am missing. I did try various white balance settings, but most of the clouds just turned to white.
