Christmas Crocus

As forecast a few crocus in the garden on Christmas Day, all late arrivals from the autumn flowering clan. Too cool for them to open outside so here is Crocus laevigatus enjoying some warmth in the kitchen. The background is a willow basket that Jacinta made while the tiny earthenware vase is one of mine, fashioned by hand. I guess it's no surprise we have crafty kids!
