Protected

I've wanted to take this shot for some time now ... about two years, give or take.

First The light bulb. Getting it empty was bit of an hassle, it took me at least one hour. Then the flower. Finding the right flower in winter time wasn't easy either ... a rose wasn't my first choice (a bit corny), but my choices where limited. Keeping in mind, that the flower must fit the small hole under the bulb.

The concept in my mind was to show a fragile summer flower ... protected from the cold and harsh winter conditions! I didn't quite achieve that but it's ok :) I like the picture and i doubt I will revisit the scene!
