SWEET WILLIAM
The Tiny Tuesday theme today is Flowers - dead or alive. I have chosen to blip some of my Sweet William flowers - bought in Morrisons last week. Thanks to Loisbiz for hosting.
Musical link SWEET WILLIAM by Millie Small ( very similar to My Boy Lollipop I think )
Had an OK day today. Colin isn't used to sleeping in a bed as he has a hammock at home so he woke up with a stiff shoulder. We had breakfast together and then Lucy phoned. She told Colin what she was going to do today to get things moving with a view to sorting out his problems. One of the things she's planning to do was to get in touch with Colin's MP. Then Gary from " Your Voice Counts" phoned. They are a free service providing advocacy, benefits advice and help with mental health. Later Gary came round later to collect Colin's door key as he is going to arrange for a new toilet to be installed. Colin's toilet is broken - and reading between the lines its been out of action for quite a while but Colin had no money to fix it and didn't tell anyone anyway. He's not good at asking for help. Later on Colin went for a walk and spent the rest of the day just chilling .
I had a doctors appointment this afternoon. It was about the hives (itchy rash) I have been suffering with since around August last year. It really isn't improving. I'm on strong antihistamines. But they haven't made much difference. So the doctor has prescribed Ranitidine to take as well as the antihistamines. Ranitidine is used for heartburn / indigestion but can also used as an antihistamine for more resistant cases of hives. I need to go back to the doctor in a month.
Then I went to Tesco - mainly to buy the food Colin had asked for. He also wanted " baccy". He's a smoker. Wish he wasn't. He did quit a few years ago but he started up again. He rolls his own so he gave me a note of which tobacco he wanted. Tesco didn't have it. Never having bought tobacco before I had no clue of what to buy as a substitute. Bought some that seemed similar and luckily Colin said it was OK. He has to go outside to smoke but he goes out on to the patio which is partly covered by a roof so he will be OK if it rains. It has been a cold dull day today. Such a change from the warm sunny day we had yesterday. But it stayed dry.
Apologies for lack of comments. With Colin being here my normal routine is " all over the place".
