The Right Time to be Selling?

Until recently the isle of Wight has been relatively unscathed by the recent rainfall but several nights of torrential downpours have changed the situation. There are now several areas under water with roads closed and landslips along the south coast. Large cracks have appeared in one of the sea walls and with more heavy rain forecast over the next few days the Island is on flood alert.

I wandered along the cycle track which is part of the river's source to sea walk and in many places the water had flowed across the track almost to the top of my wellingtons. With a brief period of late afternoon sunshine I managed to get some pictures of the unusual sight of the flooded meadows

The River Yarr which flows just to the left of where this picture was taken has overflowed into the garden of this house. I shouldn't think it will be attracting too many buyers at the moment.
