Witch-hazel

I was back to work in Waterside today, on another wet day. There was little scope to venture out, but I had noticed that the Witch-hazels just outside one of the entrances were in bloom.

It goes to prove that there is always something in flower, even in the depths of winter. With such a mild season, there are already signs of life as we head slowly towards spring.
