A child is born

To Christelle on Friday 31st May a daughter, Orlane. A granddaughter for my Sarah. C. first came to us as an asylum seeker from Cameroon, where she faced horrors upon which there is no need to elaborate. After the usual battles with the Home Office, she has won leave to remain at least for the next five years. She has been to college, hopes to do a university course in hotel management, and has her own little house in Salford. Hopefully her days of loneliness and suffering are slipping into the past, and she and her new baby can face the future with optimism.
