Beddgelert.
It was dry but cold when we went to Beddgelert.we were glad of a toastie and a pot of tea.we walked to the stone monument that marks the resting place of Gelert the faithful hound of the medieval Prince Llewelyn.one day he went hunting without Gelert the faithful hound.on his return he found his infant son's cot empty.bedclothes covered in blood.he plunged his sword into the hounds side, thinking it had killed his son.the dog's dying yell was answered by a child's cry . nearby lay a body of a mighty wolf which Gelert had slain.the Prince filled with remorse is said never to have smiled again.we then came back to Harlech Castle cafe for a coffee the views from there are fantastic.
