Gawthorpe Hall
Weatherwise it was not the best of days today, so me & Mrs MD visited Gawthorpe Hall, a National Trust property at Padiham, just outside Burnley.
The hall is rather nice - quite welcoming and cosy i.e the rooms are relatively small compared with some - see extras.
It's an Elizabethan country house on the banks of the River Calder and houses the Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth textile collection.
