Have I Missed The Boat?

As if the fishing ban weren't bad enough, this gull seemed even more put out that there wasn't a boat to be seen on the lake at Apex park in Burnham this morning. We 'd taken Sophie over with her bike for a ride around the lake and play in the playground before a lunch at Wetherspoons and a stroll along the beach

We were all pretty worn out by the time we got home.

In extras there's a particularly perky grebe and Sophie taking a plunge into the sandpit from the springboard. She'd been 'screwing her courage to the sticking place' to jump without holding our hands so was very pleased with herself.
