A Pink Mackintosh Rose

Last Thursday I attended the Opening of the Box containing Mackintosh’s remarkable Hill House.

On leaving the event each person received a pink rose as a reminder of the rose decorative motif which is featured throughout the house.

It is sitting in a decanter and California Girl remarked how well her rose is surviving after a week.

And so it is.

Today we are just on the wet side of the boundary of the heavy rain system which has caused flooding and havoc along the eastern side of the island called Great Britain.
