Discarded future

Remember when motorway service stations were the brightest stars in the future of motoring? No, me neither. This is Lancaster Services - perhaps we were expected to arrive by flying car one day.

The tower is a Grade II listed building and unusable. In the full size picture you can see a forgotten picture in one of the windows.

Inside, the M&S salads were fine but in the seating area one girl was trying to clear tables and work a till at the same time. People had started by moving old trays to unoccupied tables, run out of space, and stacked them on chairs too.
