Clematis overgrowing on the Arbor

Three years with no pruning and now the flowers are only showing on the very top. New flowers being blocked by the vine. So after it blooms beautifully this year I will take the secateurs to it! It has been warned.

The new OS version of a photo still does not please me. These flowers are actually periwinkle blue. And it is not a sharp image.
I see the tech on Monday.
