Standing room only

We were at Allendale Church for the funeral of Gordon's uncle. And the place was full to overflowing. A very popular man, who did so much for the community, was involved with many things and even built a lot of the houses and other buildings in the area. He lived life to the full and, although I did not see him very often, I always remember that he had a great sense of humour, was always laughing and joking. It was very moving to hear the tributes made and to hear his wonderful voice - he sang in several choirs and even founded one of them. That choir sang for him today.

It was a great meeting of cousins, many of whom had not seen each other in a long, long time.

And it rained . . . all day. We head south tomorrow, hoping to find some dry weather.
