Life from city to village

Wet

It has been another very wet day, from light drizzle to strong downpours. I had an 8am meeting, followed by chairing a meeting - but then I had a couple that had been cancelled. This was useful, as I had some urgent work to tackle.

I had good intentions of leaving on time today, which didn't happen. But that was because someone popped round to my office, and it was a really useful conversation. There is so much more value in a short face to face chat. I would like to think about how to harness that to make the work place more efficient. My mother always used to say that when she was negotiating, the real work was done in the bathrooms on the breaks.

Got home to find my youngest made me dinner - a goujon burger (I had to make the 'special' sauce). Then managed to book a trip for when we are away. My son and I will be going away in a couple of weeks. Its all very exciting.

The photograph is one of the geraniums in my garden, from a brief interlude in the precipitation.
