Amy Britton is one of the new Millennials, young entrepreneurs who set up businesses from their homes.
“ My background is in interior design and five years ago I decided to start my own company selling bespoke Harris Tweed bags,” she told me when I popped in to see her this afternoon.
Her studio which has stunning views across to Stirling castle.
Over tea in the garden she told me about her experiences with Open Studios, something I am always keen to hear about since it is ten years since a group of us launched this annual event.
“This has been my third Artbeat-Open studios.
I regard it as a marketing tool, a way of meeting people.
“I run free sewing workshops in sewing techniques, applique, and patchwork.”
Amy added:” Its been the busiest year ever.”
