Judiaria

To Évora today, for plumbing bits and advice, and to get photos printed. I wandered round the old part, waiting for Mike and taking photos, so many interesting details and narrow cobbled streets in the old Jewish quarter. 

Read in the paper that the average tourist in the Alentejo spends just over a day here, what a waste... If you come, please spend longer, certainly worth it; here is a site full of suggestions of what to do and where to stay or eat, by local folk who want to encourage tourists, but without ruining what makes this region special.

Gratefuls:
- that we get to live here, not just come on a day trip
- the Bible study tonight, very lively discussion
- another cool day, positively cold tonight, only 14°C now, at midnight
