Baby bunny in the early morning
This sweet creature showed him or herself one evening this week. The clover blossoms growing in our lawn that needs mowing seemed quite tasty this morning. I do fear for the safety of this little one. I saw a slim fox trot by yesterday with a motionless squirrel in it's jaws.
Late yesterday afternoon the rain was letting up and I was still watching yesterday's blip star, the male hummer sitting on his twig by the door. I noticed some movement in the garden and saw the baby bunny snacking on violet leaves. I turned my camera and focused on him. Soon, I saw a chipmunk headed down the path through the garden and wondered what the bunny would do when it got close. I laughed right out loud as I saw the huge leap the scaredy-cat bunny took when the chipmunk ran by him, all caught on camera.
For the Record,
This day came in with dark clouds this morning, but has been mostly sunny. A month ago today we were walking up to St. Coleman's Well on The Burren over limestone rocks and gorgeous flowers.
See a few of those flowers including a purple orchid in the Extra, my last one for this year it seems.
All hands looking forward to the weekend.
Happy Flag Day
