Shoppers’ Frustration

Yes, work is still under way in Romsey and the town centre is still very much in a pickle.
My advice if you are trying to drive anywhere in the central area is don’t. It’s not much better walking either and if you are thinking of a quiet coffee in one of the coffee shops around the Market Square, forget it. The coffee is still great but you might need ear plugs to lessen the sound of machinery.
Now we hear that resurfacing work is due at the end of the month and is expected to last five days.
W hen all the work is finished we are promised a fresh appearance to the Market Place with a large piazza style area around the statue of former Prime Minister, Lord Palmerston which stands in the centre of Market Square.
I can’t wait . . .
