Birthday boy

In our almost fifty years of life together, I've learned quite a bit about John. 
I know what he likes, what irritates him, what makes him angry. His most prominent trait is kindness, and this creative, courageous sense of humor that sprinkles joy and laughter into our days. Thankful to God for leading us together. We celebrated in small ways today, in the midst of the kitchen remodel. Sunday is Fathers Day here, then we will continue.
