Today we had the New Zealand Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships held here in Timaru. Hannah Prosser of Timaru Girls High School is leading the Junior Women's Race by 30m and went on convincingly to take out the New Zealand Title in her grade. Hannah is no newcomer to National titles, earlier this year Hannah won both the South Island Secondary Schools Triathlon and New Zealand Triathlon title.
What does it take for these young ones to become Elite Athletes: Dedication, Commitment,Serious Training, Self Belief and Talent. A lot of these athletes become great Scholars as they put the same work in to their studies. I was fortunate to see this with both Millie and Jesse who both excelled in Running and their Studies
