Wow!

Decided not to go to our village gala today (Washing and cleaning to do before daughter and son-in-law's return), but 12 y.o. granddaughter was allowed to go with a friend.  Thought I would keep an eye out for the Avro Lancaster bomber due to make a fly past over the gala at 2pm.  Just after 2pm with no distant sight or sound, there was suddenly a great roar as it appeared right over the house!  Had been photographing the garden, so camera was on wrong setting - aaaargh!!  Managed to get a trio of shots, but it was over my home village by then.  It came down to treetop level on the way back, but unfortunately was behind the trees all the way past here.  Exciting though!  Unfortunately it has now started to rain, so I hope it is a quick shower and doesn’t spoil the day.
