Stand off

Blip chosen today not because of any photographic expertise [ actually a real snapshot one] but because of the story it told. I looked out this evening and saw a young bird [ we have now identified it as a young starling] with a very sharp beak at the feeder. The starling then flew down and started trying to get the seed which the pigeon was after....the pigeon got really fed up with and eventually sent it packing .....looked like one of Dickens's Artful Dodgers with all the same cheek and bluster.
