Happy or SAD?

As you can see, it's called a HappyLite, but it's designed to alleviate SAD -- seasonal affective disorder -- a mild form of depression linked to lack of sunlight during the winter months. I'm sure the Verilux marketing people didn't think much about calling it a SADLite.

I've experienced SAD before, but I was in denial this year -- until today. I told Cynthia this morning that I thought it was time to get the light out again. Coincidentally, the issue of Health Today that arrived in the afternoon mail had a full-page article about SAD. I checked off four of the five symptoms listed.

I used the lamp while sitting at the iMac this afternoon. Things are beginning to look a little brighter.
