Don't get me wrong, the Australians do produce some pretty amazing wine, and I have been to a few of their wineries in the Yarra and Tamar Valleys (VIC and TAS respectively), but I must put on my European hat and say that the French still produce, consistently, the best wine in the world.

Even if it costs a fortune to buy in Oz.
