Saturday: Hotel Europe

We've had a great day of many component parts. We started by introducing Joe and Stacey to a traditional diner breakfast at 'Sophie's'.

From there we headed to Gastown where we fell upon 'Macleod's' and 'Paperhound' bookstores. Purchases were made by all of us........they liked Gastown and will explore further in the week.

Home via driving through downtown and then a barbecue on the deck this evening. We're also doing 'Desert Island Discs' - Joe was first up tonight.

This is the Hotel Europe (actually not a hotel anymore) in Gastown. It won't surprise you to learn that it's modelled on the Flatiron Building.
