Grey-friars Bobby

Our train to Edinburgh was not until the evening so we had most of the day at home.
I went to the Black Isle Craft Fair with Yvonne from next door. Some lovely crafts and we chatted to most of the stall holders.Spoke to a lady who runs Black Isle Yarns and admired the colours of her wool ,all made with natural dyes, who would have known that avocado skins and stones would produce such a delicate pink colour.
I did buy some little patches of naturally dyed material and a little fabric bird.
The sun came out later and I had half an hour outside before it was time to go, spotted the pine marten at the bottom of the garden.
Before we caught the train there was enough time for a quick look at the Marina. They have resurfaced the ‘road’ so it was much better. The marina was full of large yachts and the lifeboat.
A beautiful journey down watching the sunset and it was just about dark when we around at 10.20pm.A walk up the steps at Fleshmarket Close and past Greyfriars Bobby with one of the Oor Wullie sculptures nearby.
A beautiful full moon was rising over the historic buildings.
Straight to bed once we reached the hotel :)
