Flare off

As my plane approached Edinburgh we had a wonderful view across the Forth to Mossmoran, where Esso had lit a beacon ( in reality to burn off gases) to welcome me back to Scotland.

Just a shame Edinburgh airport can't ensure enough taxis for incoming passengers so we don't have to wait 45 minutes in the freezing cold. My driver when one did turn up told me of the horrendous charges they have to pay just to join the rank and the levy on every fare charged at the entrance gate. He says it is far more worthwhile to cruise the city centre on a weekend night rather than take a chance of a half decent fare at the airport at night. It is too much to hope that Blinkered Sctland as Visit Scotland should be called, will take note.
