Wink, Wink...........

...............too miserable, dull and wet to be outside so the Owl Centre it is! This lovely Snowy Owl caught my attention by winking at me!! (Cheeky!!) Anyway, apparently they can live up to 35yrs in captivity, mate for life and in the wild can regulate their breeding according to the availability of food. - and that seems a good idea to me! Normally they breed on the Artic tundra - producing from 3 t0 11 eggs and live for up to 9 yrs old. They are fiercely protective of their young and will even defend the nests against wolves.

Have just opened a box of Chocolate Brandy Liquers - wish I hadn't as am now being a pig!!
