Christmas Day!
I played Father Christmas again, sneaking down in the night to hide presents for Mum. Rushed present opening before taking my poor car to the garage on the way to watching The Hobbit!
Lovely-as-always Christmas Eve at the Ruddles where my stirring speech about the Olympics got us nowhere...!

Mum seen here under the powerful rays of my new flashgun that I was fiddling with.
Upon uploading, we had quite a debate about the cropping of the image. I have come to the conclusion that if I take a snapshotty-shot I like to keep it that way, rather than cropping in to become a more composed image. If I set out to compose the shot perfectly (which I definitely don't do enough) then I'll tweak it to all sit perfectly. Otherwise, I like messy, cluttered shots... like this, with cards left intentionally peeping in at the top of the frame.
