Villa Balbiano

Late last night we heard and saw fireworks nearby. Initially we were unsure whether they were coming from the Villa Balbianello or the Villa Balbiano. As we passed the Villa Balbiano this morning we say trucks taking away stuff from the gardens, so there must have been an event here last night.

We pass this villa on our way to Lido di Ossuccio, we also walk along a lakeside boardwalk for a short distance. The water level in the lake is still very high, so in some places the boardwalk was underwater, so we had to accept having a paddle in the Lake.

The Lido park was packed with people, it was difficult to navigate our way to the cafe without standing on somebody or at least on their towels. I may never have seen the Lido park as busy.
