Back to Ilam......

We went on one of our favourite walks in The Peak District today. As it's a real honey pot for visitors we walked the Dovedale section first and were very surprised how quiet it really was.

We started in Ilam, visited the famous stepping stones, walked to Ilam Rock and then climbed steeply up into the woods. The last leg comes down through the fields in this shot back to Ilam Hall for coffee and cake.

It was a little drizzly and dull for most of the walk except this last section. A lovely couple of hours of fresh air and exercise.
