Bay Tree rose.

Before I started working in this garden the Bay Tree had extended to the point that the rose planted Infront of it was getting swamped. Initially I started to cut the bay away but, having seen it throughout a season, I decided to leave things as they are. Now I prune the rose so that it grows out of the Bay Tree and this is how it looks in flower.

It rained quite heavily for part of today and I got a little wet so when I visited RF and she offered the use of her shower I was very grateful. She is rather under the weather at the moment!
