Last goodbyes

Waiting in the lounge for the flight back to Heathrow. Flight delayed about 35 minutes but that should not make much of a difference to arrival time tomorrow afternoon.

The dull June Gloom dissipated in the late afternoon giving a clear, sunny evening as we crawled along the I15 and I5 towards the airport. Handed back the car, always a relief!

After completing the packing we dropped our bags off at the family house while we went on one last visit to Peet’s and a walk around Rancho Carrillo, the opposite was round to yesterday, calling in at this Historic Monument which proved to be very interesting and very noisy as there were many male peacocks calling to each other. The many female peahens were carefully guarding their chicks.

All too soon it was time to collect the luggage, say goodbye to the dogs and get over to the grandson’s daycare to say hello and goodbye. We’ll miss the little tyke and all the family.

The last blip of the trip had to be of him with his dad and us. Another magnificent smile!
