Simmer at Lunchtime

A breezy day, but warm and sunny.  It clouded over at teatime, and now showers.

Heading into work this morning, and a seemed like a million motorbikes have arrived.  The Simmer Dim Rally is on this coming weekend.  It was a busy day in the museum, there was a cruise ship in Lerwick.  You know it's a fine day, when the tourists are going around in t-shirts.  I had planned to go to the peat hill, but chips arrived for the garden, and then the rain started.  Off to work in the pub later.

There was a real summer smell in the air today, one that always reminds me of my childhood.  Lunchtime arrived, and I had to get to the sea, with that smell in the air.  A brisk walk along the banks, and then this fine summer view on the way back.  Oh I do love this time of year.   Taken at the Old Haa, Easter Quarff.
