Silly Goose

My nephew is pretty darn funny. He is literally the funniest kid I know, and even when he does gross stuff, it doesn't seem gross to me. I've actually gagged from seeing strange children put their finger in their nose, but when I've caught my nephew in the act it just seems more of a naughty thing than a gross thing. It's kind of like how I feel about my own kids (and even my puppy). When the kid (or the puppy) is your own, their ickiness isn't really all that icky. Strange.

I was there the day my nephew was born. It was cheer sign-ups for my girls, so I spoke to the president of the league and he gave us priority status and they rushed us through, then we drove to the hospital and waited as patiently as we could until that little sweetheart decided to step into the spotlight. My brother was so proud when his son was born, and I am so grateful I was there to share that moment and see his reaction.

He's been the light of our lives in this family for five years, and when his sister was born, he gave her room to share the spotlight, but he knows he's still a star and hams it up at every possible opportunity. He cracks me right up.
