Gruesome - but fascinating too!

This is a Sarracenia - it eats small insects, flies etc.
They are attracted into the flower then become trapped in the slime in the tubular base, (see extra) and are devoured.
What is unusual about this one, however, is that an insect seems to have escaped by digging or eating its way out! (see extra)
