Island life

An absolute joy to take ten 13 year olds for thier first experience of expeditioning with an overnight canoe trip to the island. 

Time round the fire with young people is always one of my favourite things. The silly chat, the deep wonderings, the laughter and the togetherness that camp TV seems to provide.
Then the wonder of a mid-summer night paddle. All quiet and still apart from bats flitting, beaver tails slapping and occasional gasps from mesmerised youngsters.
