50 Years Ago Today

Dear Diary,

It has been a long time since I posted an old photograph but today seems appropriate.  David, my first husband, and I were married 50 years ago today at St. Michael's church in Hudson, Massachusetts.  That darling little girl was my flower girl, only 4 years old.  She's a grandmother now.  I had just turned 20 the month before.  Much too young to get married and the marriage only lasted 12 years but I will always look at this image and see two young people who were filled with hope and promises as all wedding couples are I suppose.  David died two years ago.  All images from our pasts carry both good memories and bad but today, I will focus on the good ones.
