Potatoes: edible crop and beautiful flowers

Spent afternoon in allotment weeding and hoeing after a morning at the Peak gym. Was enchanted by the flowers on potatoes with each variety having differences in terms of colour and form. Decided to lift a few shaws where the flowers had faded and dropped and upper growth stopped. Was delighted with results and it will be new potatoes for tea. This is at least two weeks before I would usually have first harvest of potatoes. I think this is variety related rather than due to weather as it’s been much colder than usual this May and June. The variety is well named - “Swift”.
